This morning, Palmetto Family Council and its partner organizations in the One Message group held a press conference in the second-floor lobby of the South Carolina State House.

During this press event, we outlined the eight priorities we believe are most important for the legislature to tackle during the second half of the legislative session that began on January 11th.

“We kept hearing the same thing over and over again,” President Dave Wilson stated. “These are the issues that are most important to South Carolinians.”

These eight priority items included

  • Transparency in Education
  • Saving Women’s Sports
  • Religion is Essential
  • Medical Marijuana
  • Medical Rights of Conscience
  • Educational Opportunity
  • Pro-Life Legislation
  • Human Trafficking

Several representatives and senators joined us including Representative RJ May, Senator Josh Kimbrell, Representative Melissa Oremus, Representative John McCravy, Representative Russell Fry and Representative Richie Yow.

The One Message group consists of Palmetto Family Council, Alliance Defending Freedom, South Carolina Citizens For Life, South Carolina Baptist Convention, Roman Catholic Diocese of Charleston, South Carolina Christian Chamber of Commerce, Concerned Women for America, and Carolina Pregnancy Center.
