The citizens in the Bahamas need help. Here’s how you can get involved.
Palmetto Family is praying that all of you — especially those on the coast — will remain safe as Hurricane Dorian approaches.
We also wanted to pass along to you an opportunity to help those hit the hardest by Hurricane Dorian. South Carolina Senator Sandy Senn is organizing relief efforts for the Bahamas. A simple Google search of the destruction in the Bahamas will reveal the great need for the victims of this powerful storm.
Palmetto Family is partnering with Senator Senn to send supplies to the Bahamas, but we need your help. If you are willing to donate supplies, you can drop them off at the Palmetto Family offices (1414 Lady St. Columbia, SC 29201) and we will deliver those supplies to Charleston on Friday (9/6) before they are sent to those in the Bahamas.
Here are the supplies needed:
- Hammers and small tools such as nail guns
- Shut-off wrenches
- Battery operated lights
- Solar lights
- Camp stoves and butane cans
- Panadol, Tylenol, Advil
- Bandages, antibiotic ointment
- Mosquito nets
- Bug spray
- Air mattresses and pumps
- Toilet paper
- Tooth paste, deodorant, soap
- Feminine hygiene products
- Baby food, formula
- Matches and candles
- Non-perishable food items
- Can openers
Thank you for your sacrifice and please do continue to pray for those affected by this natural disaster.
